2Square

   We are not just artists; our lives are now an art, and there is certainly an art to living it. You now find us a little over 3 years into our journey as 2square. Four years into traveling and 2 1/2 years into 2square full time. I hope you follow. Our path has brought us back and forth between continents, homes, and loves. We chase our dreams, hopes, and life's mysteries in-between the rainbows and the rainfall. It’s a life of sacrifice. We both led very different lives just a short time ago. Flashy lights, flashy cars, and flashy clothes. Maybe we are followed by some of these things today, but we are not disillusioned by the long shadows they cast.

   Over the time our site has been online, we've written continuously. Over 400 poems now sit on the site, along with our videos that have followed our travels around the globe. Four different directors have given us their view of 2square. We've been photographed by world renowned photographers and our modeling portfolios have expanded. Our shoots have been featured in magazines, fashion blogs, campaigns, and catalogues on and off line.

   Most days we paint, but when we work other jobs it is generally in the entertainment industry. You can find us on both sides of the camera shooting, modeling, acting, running props, doing set design, or working in the art department.

   We feel honored and humbled by the City of Miami. They have taken us in and have shown us tons of support and love. Miami has given great opportunities to us, in our career.

   No matter the places we go in our lives, we can both agree that some of the best people we know and some of the best moments we’ve had have come from being in this special place. Tears fill our eyes when we talk about leaving, but every gypsy has the day he must kiss what he loves goodbye. Not because he wants to leave, but because he knows he must leave. He must leave to fulfill the purpose set in his heart that drives his spirit to its destination. That day of departure is coming soon. Like a beautiful woman that I have fallen in love with, I will think of you often until we meet again. It’s not goodbye, yet, but it feels very close.

Tired of working under someone else’s ideas and beliefs we cut ties with everything and became liberated. To become and give it all to art.. If we were gonna be miserable or happy it needed to be on our own volition and ideas.  Traveling really opened our minds and our possibilities that reality is one you create. Not one that you just accept and live out.

We both left lucrative jobs. Jeremiah Taylor was the art director of a major salon  ranked in the top 25 in the nation, and Justin Vallee’ the owner of a landscaping business that he built from scratch; tired of our grind and our situation we decided a change had to come. Sick  of the way we were being sold an told how  to live, in this bastardize, Tv. praised, pop culture of a driven idea on how life and success ought to be. We see success and the pursuit of it a bit different.

With that being said, we share some of the same views and dreams about art. Submerse yourself in  art to become it.

It’s a place where your honest with yourself and  the idea of expressing it, in anyway you feel inspired to do so. It’s like a new renaissance man. One who paints, builds, invents, graffiti, street poetry, clothing designers, photography, Hair cutting, anything really that involves self exploration and expression. It’s way where you can brand your look, idea, or feeling.         It’s for the 2square kid,. the ones like us in school that couldn’t keep focused on any one thing in particular,  And  the system told us we would fail or not succeed  if we didn’t  stay focused on just one thing. When the absolute essence of who we are as people and artists  is to be stimulated and be inspired by all things. Thats why  the philosophy of all arts are intertwined and related. We believe they stem from the same place and disciplines. It may not work for all people, but there’re definitely artists and humans like us from all over the world that we have met, that have no outlet.

Which leads me to what we are doing about it...

One Idea of 2square and the sparking dream is to have a space in different cities all over the world.  Each works independently, but under the same philosophy and beliefs in art and working together and teaching your craft to your peers.

A factory space or studio where artists can come together and do their arts and rely on each other as a resource.  Hopefully thru this we can brand the new renaissance and a new  idea of the factory. That would allow the artist to live in the space or just work out of it. which would also in turn be open galleries, boutiques, salons and academy. So we all can  design lifestyles thru collaborative exposes, working, living, and playing together.  We are currently seeking out different artist across the world to work with. Including Dj’s, musicians, photographers, artist, designers,creative people in general. Watch our news and events and travel map to see where we will be going to next. Also within each city we are looking to set up an awareness and work with group homes to work with teenagers. To teach artistic expression give bomb haircuts and build relationships with also.. (an outlet, for direction and inspiration) It’s definitely community oriented and thrived upon.

Even though, God gave me these  wings. id rather lie with you. Than fly into the blue.

IT wasn't the attraction of  fatality that had me. It was all the things leading.  It was all the love, and all of the breeding.   It was all  the ideas, and all of our conceiving.     It was all the faith  in all of our believing, that when we met, we  would honour  that deeper meaning. It wasnt life nor death, nor husband or wife. What i have, you cant define. What i am, you cant confine.

This is a series that i have started, inspired from the Amazing movie "Ashes and Snow". the movie is powerful in many ways. everyone should experience it, and dream for it. i ve got a couple more Murals id like to eventually do within this series. ITs my tribute to a wonderful piece of art. That has touched me.
