2Square

2square has been an idea in evolution. As 2square not only have we evolved in our crafts, but some of our greatest accomplishments have come from fighting through all of the challenges of maintaining the vision of our dream. Our traveling experiences have molded us into what we are today. The junction of our many experiences with life, the friendships we have encountered, the hate we could live without and our relationships with girls and girlfriends throughout the way.

These experiences have turned us into men and we appreciate your support as well as your nonsupport. All of the encouragement we receive, fuel us in reaching our highest points so thank you to our lovers as well as those who take the time to hate. We love you both.We would not describe ourselves as just artists. The way we live our lives is an art in itself and there is certainly an appreciation in living it.

Today we find ourselves four years into our journey as 2square. Four years traveling and two and a half years into 2square full time. Our path has unfolded before us. It has brought us back and forth between continents, lovers and beautiful places we like to call homes. We chase our dreams with all our hopes and life's mysteries. With the in between rainbows and rainfalls. We both led very different lives just a short time ago, we decided to sacrifice some of those things. A life of extravagances flashy lights, flashy cars and flashy clothes. Maybe we are followed by some of these things today, but we are not disillusioned by the long shadows these ideas cast. After our street art tour in Europe, we found a home in Detroit for a couple of months. Detroit showed us immeasurable love, it gave us many walls as well as a large building. Shortly after, we made our way to Miami, Florida and found ourselves in the center of Wynwood for Art Basel. We have been here, painting for a solid year and a half now. Leaving only to paint in Canada and Venezuela. During our time here we have painted a very respectable portfolio of work and possibly set a record in the amount of murals we have created. We have painted buildings over 4 stories tall and 2 different buildings with 18 murals each. Individually we have explored our respective styles in an effort to become both better and more diverse. Justin has begun painting and sketching with his left hand and adopted a second alias known as “Lefty” or “Lefty2.” Our work is beginning to be respected and recognized worldwide. Our work has been featured in books, calendars, commercials and TV shows. We have participated in music videos, online magazines, as well as in print. Over the time our website has been online, we have written continuously over 400 poems. Along with our videos that have followed and recorded our travels around the globe.

Four different directors have given us their view of 2square, we have been photographed by world renowned photographers and our modeling portfolios have also expanded. Our shoots have been featured in magazines, fashion blogs, campaigns and catalogues on and offline. Most days we paint but when we work other jobs it is generally in the entertainment industry. You can find us on both sides of the camera. Sometimes shooting or modeling, acting, running props, doing set design or working in the art department. We feel honored and humbled by the City of Miami. They have taken us in and have shown us tons of support and love. Miami opened up its doors and gave us great opportunities in our career. No matter the places our lives take us, we can both agree that some of the best people we know and some of the best moments we have had, have come from being in this special place. Tears fill our eyes when we talk about leaving, but every gypsy has the day he must kiss what he loves goodbye. Not because he wants to leave, but because he knows he must leave. He must leave to fulfill the purpose set in his heart that drives his spirit to its destination. That day of departure is coming soon, like a beautiful woman that I have fallen in love with. I will think of you often until we meet again. It’s not goodbye yet but it feels very close.
